The Gainesville Fine Arts Association is a 101-year-old non-profit that fosters and encourages the study of the visual Arts in every medium. I’m proud to have been a board member and officer of this long-established association from 2016-2021, during which time we opened the GFAA Gallery, now a vibrant addition to the newly developed South Main boulevard.
The GFAA Gallery opened in January of 2016, our first-ever home at 1314 S Main Street. The GFAA Gallery hosts monthly themed exhibits with opening receptions during Artwalk (4th Fridays of the month) and offers workshops and open studio sessions. The Gallery brings new opportunities for area artists to participate in juried themed shows and stretch their potential.
Whether you are an artist or an art enthusiast, if you haven’t been to the GFAA Gallery yet – you are missing the most exciting new venue for art in Gainesville. Each show has an independent judge and awards are given each Artwalk. Both GFAA members and non-members may exhibit.
